About LJ Projects

LJ Projects is a dance theatre company specialising in immersive theatre, education, and outreach projects. The company represents the work of choreographers Melissa Lanham and Chloe Keating whose works have been described by reviewers as beautiful, fluid and with a strong theatrical sensibility. Based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, LJ Projects premiered their show 'Vincent' at Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2016 to critical acclaim. This show and now sit's with the Qld Curriculum Authority where it is viewed by thousands of students each year. The company has since grown to establish a working studio and extensive program of engagement initiatives to share their dance practice with the broader community. In 2023, LJ Projects was commissioned by Horizon Festival to create a new work 'Labyrinth' which has picked up interest from producers in the UK for a potential tour in 2026 along with the Premiere of Poetical Inhabitants in partnership with The Events Centre Caloundra. Melissa and Chloe continue to provide residencies for choreographers to make work in their studio, along with numerous guest teaching opportunities throughout the year.
